Creating Sustainable Morning and Night Routines For More Energy


One of the biggest issues my clients face is being able to wake up early for a morning workout. Or they just in general lack energy throughout the day, making a workout hard to do. In order to create a sustainable workout routine, one of the most important factors is sleep! Getting enough sleep can be a game changer when it comes to having the energy to exercise. To achieve quality sleep, having a morning and night routine is important.



Morning Tips:

1. Set Your Alarm Further Away:

Getting out of bed on the right foot is crucial. A simple yet effective strategy is to set your alarm clock or phone across the room. This forces you to physically get up, jumpstarting your day with movement and determination.


2. Hydrate with H2O:

Before you reach for that cup of coffee or tea, quench your body's thirst with a glass of water. It's an invigorating way to kickstart your metabolism, rehydrate, and set a positive tone for the day ahead.


3. Find What Feels Good:


Your morning routine should be a reflection of who you are. Whether it's a serene yoga session, a brisk walk, or quiet time with a book, the key is to find what brings you joy and sets a positive tone for your unique day. There's no one-size-fits-all; it's about finding what works for you.


Night Tips:

1. Prep for the Next Morning:

A great night's sleep starts with preparation. Lay out your clothes, create a to-do list, and set intentions for the following day. When you're ready, your mind can relax, and you can drift into a peaceful slumber.


2. Wind Down with No Screens:

Resist the temptation to scroll through your phone or binge-watch shows before bedtime. The blue light from screens disrupts melatonin production, making it harder to fall asleep. Instead, opt for a book, soothing music, or a calming bedtime routine to ease your mind.



3. Have a Schedule:

Consistency is the secret to a successful night's sleep. Aim to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. This helps regulate your body's internal clock, making it easier to fall asleep and wake up refreshed.
